I've rode a bunch of wheels and found that not one wheel works for everyone. Hell, one set doesn't even work for one person all of the time. Different places/spots/parks like different wheels. Different people skate with diverse styles so what they like will be different. I'm a dinosaur in the skating world so I like bigger (to you young guns) wheels. Back in the day I swore that you couldn't find a better wheel than 60mm OJ II Street Razors 95a (100 and 99 duros weren't even heard of yet.) Later Spitfires came on the scene and they ruled (still do, don't get me wrong.) Then Ricta's came out and offered things that Spitfires didn't, then back to the fire, then Autobahns then....You get the picture. What I realized is that for certain places I like one wheel and for other things I like another. Since I'm not made outta money I have to go with a wheel that makes the best compromises for all the spots I usually go to and my particular style.
Right now I'm rolling some Bones Ditch tech formula. Sadly the stopped making them right as I got them. I did find some OJ II Street Razors online and I am mighty tempted....
