cupsole has more comfort and durability, lil bit more bulky if you wear slim pants, but i wear baggys, look inside the shoe, most have like a gel pack in the insole and on the arch, some shoes have the airbag sole too, just depends on what u like,i've got 2 pairs of the lakai selects cuz they have a really thick insole so you dont crush your heels, reall comfy,i just havent skated them yet,i've been skatin in sum lakais with a cup sole and they've really kept their comfort,im really suprized cuz they're an older style and i bought em at ross for 30 bucks and pretty durable.lakais are comfy weather u go cupsole or vulcanize like i said depending on your style.later i hope i helped u out a little bit.
a cupsole shoe is like the es accel, and the vulcanized version of that same shoe is called the es square one. basically, cupsoles are thicker and offer more support and durability, and vulcanized are thinner which means they give you better board feel and board control. it all depends on personal preference.
Personally, I like vulcs because they offer more board feel. I like the satifasction of knowing I just caught my trick with having to look for the board.
Although the last good pair of cups I skated were the Lakai Mariano's. The Mariano's 2 is also a good choice when looking for a cupsole with a vulcanized feel.
And her is an inside tip for all you vulc fans that can't seem to get rid of those nasty heel bruises. Get a set of the Dr.Scholl's Gel inserts. They work like a charm.
ive been skating vulc shoes for the last couple years, but im getting some adidas ciero's sat so hopefully ill like cupsole shoes.
been wanting something with better padding so hopefully theyre good.
