There are regular tricks, tricks off the front of the board (nollie), and tricks going backwards (fakie). Switch stance tricks are mirror images of regular tricks.

Do you think that makes them awesome, or boring? Anyone prefer certain switch tricks? Because of looks, or because they're easier? Anyone avoid switch at all costs?

switch is the best because its a way to get to learn the same tricks in 2 different ways with 2 different results. switch can look better or worse depending on the skater. Switch is awesome because some tricks you can do regular you cant do switch and vise versa it adds character and depth in the way poeple skate. not to mention nollie treflips rule

skating switch proves that you have good board control, but too much switch is awful. watch stevie williams' part in the dc video. its garbage

I'm not a fan of switch. I'm going to go with redundant on this one.

Sorry.

switch is ok, it's just showing how good you are with the other foot.

switch fs shuvs are about 300 times easier than a regular one
but switch is amazingly redundant

it shows maximum comfort riding a board both ways...but thats mostly all. stevie williams in dc video was pretty bad. he skates good but too much switch gets old. but guy mariano and keenan milton make switch look smooth back in mouse...

I think switch is easier becase if you have it in your regular stance then you know how to get it in switch. and not many people i know really practice switch so thats what i use un SKATE!

i wouldnt say that switch is a mirror image of regular as i think a lot of skaters face slightly backwards or pop/catch/land differently somehow. when you watch a pro who has mastered switch, even if you dont know their stance offhand you still know when theyre skating switch. so i wouldnt say people only skate switch to prove they can, i think switch tricks (when done well) have a lot of grace. i personally have limited switch tricks but theyre coming on...
Also think how phat it would be to cruise round a huge city ea skate style just toggling between stances and bolting tricks in reg and goofy; thats why you need to learn switch!

Switch is easier but nollie looks more steezy..P-Rod owns switch.

Depends on the skater.I like switch even though I can't skate sw too good, but I'm learning.I like people who can push sw instead of pushing mongo

Switch is probably my favorite way to skate, I look up to Russ Milligan...if anyone has seen this fool skate...everything he does is switch...it's like he learned how to ollie and decided to learn everything switch...he switch bs flipped up a five stair...wtf
