OLD CHAT vs NEW CHAT - love it / hate it
Personally I don't care for it. I would like to see the old chat restored. Let's discuss the pro's and cons... and see what, if any action we can take ~

Chat's not really that different. And since we're all well aware of how good chat can be,
WE NEED TO SUPPORT IT>
I propose this. VETS and everyone - lets promote the CHAT, internally.
Im gonna make some banners and buttons for your profiles... If you have any skills, please do the same.
Together we can save the CHAT, like that community Center in Breakin' Two.

Old chat pros: Window on every page
It didnt cut off sentances
Everyone actually talked on it
Old chat cons: It lagged sometimes
New chat pros: None
New chat cons: EVERYTHING!
Seriously...change this shit back, im done with it. I know im not the only one who can't stand it, so lets do something and get it fixed.

the only good thing about the new chat is it is a bigger window,
but you could open the old chat in its own tab too, by clicking on tab
so, nothing good about it

i never use new chat, it lags and cuts off stuff and cant have its own page
old chat might lag at times but it was more fun and stuff.
if steve reads this, maybe he'll switch back lol

I hear you! The cutting off. Lag. Everything. Sorry, but I feel a great percentage of the "comunity" is getting lost with the new chat feature. I have a scenario that illustrates this loss to a tee.
Scenario one, Old Chat:
Log in
Check Email
Respond Comments...
- Oh, look whats going on in the Chat window.
- My friends are there, sick
- waste hours and hours lurking the site while getting to know all kinds of people
- shouting out at peeps when you see they just log on.
- Luring people to enter chat, and / or heckling your friends
Scenario two, New chat:
Login
Check email
browse forum
respond comments
um, check email
...log off
?! Log in
check chat
Dave was on at 7:42 - "hello?"
The old chat had a level of spontenaity and created a bond within the site, on every page, between the more frequent users (VETS CREW). The heads up display was a great way for them more shy people to be introduced to the other members of the group.
- About the new chat I can say this the constant linking and spamming has gotten much better.
We understand the technology dictates the availablity of certain features, but if we have a choice between the few that this Ning platform supports... We'd like to ask for the old system back.

I noticed this too... I dont think you need to advertise skateboards to skaters. We already know whats good and whats not, everyone skates something different anyways. Not to mention, its a CCS ad. Most skaters will support their local shops regardless of how many advertisements there are. Skaters buying from local shops are the ones supporting the actual board companies aswell... In my mind, ccs is no different from activemailorder, or zumiez.

Ha ha tru man, and look at the CCS ad too. TWO pro models out of NINE boards. Who's supporting the pros? NOT CCS. note* I have to count Neckface as a team board, sorry Neckface... Pro's be Pro's
And in addition, look at all of the graphics. LOGO LOGO LOGO, Frosts' is the only board with any thought involved. - I guess this is a discussion for my LOGO WARS forum...
