My Berrics

hi there,

here's what it takes to get sponsored:
1. time: to have the ability needed to be a sponsored skateboarder, you should have already been skating 5-10 years.

2. a good video: i need to see you can skate hard, and you travel and skate new and unique spots. a video of you in your driveway or basement isn't gonna cut it.

3. the ability to get people in your area to try our boards: as a growing company it's up to riders to promote business through our website, and get your local skateshops to carry our products. if you can do this i will send you free product for yourself.

too many people think that being sponsored means getting free stuff because you're good at skateboarding.
but it's much more than that.
it's not about what a skateboard company can do for you, it's what YOU can do for a skateboard company.

we want riders who are as involved and devoted to this company as we are.
not someone who leeches free merchandise while never contributing anything in return.

if you are consistently sending footage and pictures, and i can see web orders coming from your area, i can consistently send you free product because you earned it.

if you think you meet these qualifications, or you will in the future, i will be happy to check out your video whenever you are able to send one.

thank you for supporting Worship Skateboards,
i look forward to your reply.

Ummm.
This is wrong. On so many ways.

The number one way to get sponsored:
HAVE FUN!

Reply to This

obviously having fun is part of it.
but not the number one way.
you can have all the fun you want but if nobody ever sees you skate how can you get sponsored?
the number one way to have fun: skateboarding
the number one way to get sponsored: be a legit skateboarder.

if you think this is wrong you can keep shopping at zumiez.

people are talking about zumiez and i have no idea what that is. WHAT IN GODS NAME IS ZUMIEZ!!! and what is so bad about it anyways? is it like a poser store/skateshop thing?

Reply to This

yes exactly.
it's the wal mart of skateshops.
putting the skater owned and operated skateshops out of business.
you should be able to find one in your local mall between the hot topic and hollister.

if you're a true skater you help skateboarding in your area by supporting your local shop.

then again if you want all the kids at school to think you're a wicked awesome skateboarder you can deck yourself out in all the stereotypical poser gear available at zumiez, and pick up a life of ryan dvd on the way out.

haha i will never do that. now im kinda mad that i know what it is now. when i get older me and my friend is gonna try to open up a skateshop of our own and i would hate to have one of zumiez in our town. things like that fucks up the point of skateboarding.

holy shit, you don't even know how much i hate ZUMIEZ,
because of them our local shop closed down, luckily two more opened, the popular val surf that pros
like jeron wilson, justin eldridge and joey brezinski ride for and stix ride shop.
i hate zumiez and give my friends lectures when i see my friends contributing to them making a
profit haha, they once had 50-60 dollar decks, way too much if you ask me hahah

the bad thing is is that the zumies at my mall actully has good skate stuff like 30$ decks and cheap trucks and wheels the only reason i go in there is cause they let us skate in there and i have friends working there. and cause our local skate shop moved down town witch is a long ways from my house so i cant skate there.

well for some people zumiez IS their local skateshop. and while that sucks what are they gonna do, not skate?

i just think they should respect skateboarding by not moving in on towns with s legit shop and skate scene.

what if your local shop closed down because of the t.e.t.s. then you have to go to zumiez. i mean i dont like it but its the only thing available

im new to my city and just broke my board, so i dont know where the fuck the local skate shops are around here.
so im jus gonna snag a $30 blank from zumiez.
once i find a shop though......

Hello ! You come on page !

like i said, for some people zumies IS their local shop.
and that's fine.

and trust these t.e.t.'s are making it hard for everyone everywhere, which is why it's so important now more than ever to find the small skater run shops and spend your money there.

giant corporations don't need it as much, trust me.
