Maybe its just me but don't you think this matchup could ruin entire brackets? Obviously Cole is the favorite to win it all. But Vallely has all those old school tricks, half of which nobody under the age of 30 has heard of. And if Vallely knocks out Cole what would stop him from winning the whole thing? Thoughts?
vallely doesnt have coles tech, i feel mike skates with alot more force but just couldnt keep up with new school tech. now in a boxing match thats a diffrent ending
Yeah i'm in the same boat as you. If Vallely could land a switch tre flip it'd be damn near shocking. But i still think its a possibility for Mike to pull 5 tricks Cole has never seen before one right after another.
dude. i know someone who skated with cole at the berrics before, and he said that cole will pull out a trick the first time he ever tries it. his board control is that good. so i have faith in cole
I think if the rules are changed for a fair play for skating styles like Mike V's, I would say it depends on who can get the first offensive. But if rules are the same as BATB 1, then no doubt, Cole would just do random tech flip tricks. But if Mike V unexpectedly beat Cole with the new tech flip tricks (which would be highly unlikely), I would throw my board and bow down to see Mike V land even just a switch 360 flip.
I watched a video maybe 6 years ago, Mike V admitted that he can't land heelflips constantly since he never does them.
That is interesting... I've been following the Battle at the Berrics for as long as its been around and I've also watched Chris Cole's technical skateboarding and have seen Mike V's old style tricks but when I heard that the two were going to face in a game of SKATE I had all my money riding on Chris Cole for sure! He's won nearly every game of skate competitions he's entered including last years competition and the one before last year. He lost to Alex Mizurov in the 2006 Es Game of Skate who had some serious technical skateboarding (he lost to a switch 180 late backfoot kickflip) skills. But all in all, there are very few who could stand up to Chris Cole's amazing flatground skateboarding. Mike V may have some old school tricks that Chris might not be able to match but Mike V doesn't do a lot of the newer tricks like what Ronel said. If Mike V landed a switch 360 flip that would be something worth having a match compared to Chris Cole. But I guess we'll all have to wait and see what happens... It may be decided on who goes first. At first I thought for SURE Chris Cole would take the win on this one but now that I realize that Mike V might have a chance... I rethink my prediction. Can't wait to see the game! I'm so excited!
I'm sorry to say it but mike v doesn't stand a chance I mean mad respect for him but watch any video of his video there's never a flip trick maybe one or two but he usually flips and catchs the board or flips into a stall. Then you got cole who has make board control he can throw 360s anyway pretty much with heel or kickflips
